Notes of the Parish Meeting held on 18th Apr 2019

1. Apologies for absence:
Cllr Lawton. – Absence formally approved by vote having considered and accepted the reasons for this.
2. To sign as correct:
The minutes taken from the last meeting (AGM) on the 17th May 2018.
These were unanimously agreed and were signed as confirmation of this.
3. Declarations of Interest:
None declared.
4. Matters to report from the last meeting:
a) Cllr Ireland (Chairman) gave a short speech about the tenancy of his office during the past year. Cllr Ireland highlighted that works remained outstanding within the village (to be completed by Lincolnshire Highways) specifically; the road drainage gullies where the works were now outstanding in excess of 3yrs.
b) Cllr Ireland stated that Speed Volunteers had now been recruited and had completed all necessary training and were due to commence carrying out speed checks within the village.
c) Cllr Ireland stated that Mr Hill from Horsington had carried out 6 cuttings of the grass boarders and verges throughout the village over the summer period and extended his thanks to Mr Hill for his work.
d) Cllr Ireland stated that the rebuilding of the Church Spire had now been completed although further works to the Church were yet to be carried out.
e) The Chairman then went on to thank the District Councillors present for all of their help and financial assistance over the last 9yrs of his office as Chairman and this was also extended by all other Parish Council Members. He also thanked Mrs C Newton for all her efforts and hard work during her time as Thimbleby Parish Clerk, most particularly for the management of the Parish finances and administration.
This thanks was also extended by all other members of the Parish Council.
5. Feedback from ELDC and LCC Councillors:
The ELDC and LCC councillors all extended their vote of thanks to both the Chairman most particularly and other Parish Council Members for their efforts on behalf of Thimbleby Village during their time in office AS Parish Councillors.
