I hereby summons you to the extraordinary Parish Council Meeting of Thimbleby Parish Council on Wednesday 22nd July 2026 starting at 7pm public participation period at the end of the public meeting before consideration of confidential items.  If you cannot attend, please notify me with a reason for your absence.   The agenda is attached below.

AGENDA

 

 

  1. Appointment of a minute taker (if the Clerk is absent)
  2. Apologies for absence to be approved if appropriate.
  3. Declarations of interest and consideration of any requested dispensations.
  4. To consider correspondence from HMRC requesting information.
  5. To consider and, if thought fit, resolve to adopt amendments to the Staffing Committee Terms of Reference.
  6. To consider and, if thought fit, resolve:

(a) to obtain professional advice regarding recent and forthcoming changes in employment legislation and their implications for the Council's employment-related documentation, policies and procedures; and

(b) to authorise the Chair to instruct Chattertons Solicitors to provide legal advice and assistance in relation to confidential employment matters of a sensitive nature, and to incur the associated legal costs and any other reasonable expenditure necessarily arising from that instruction, within any approved budget or subject to subsequent ratification by the Council as required.
